One of the nice things about being retired is you get to just go when the mood hits you, so we just went back up to Jerome. This is a great old mining town that has found new life as an artist community. It has wonderful winding streets climbing up the hills, great shops, and good restaurants. Naturally we went back to The Asylum Restaurant in The Jerome Grand Hotel (originally the hospital).

This was The Little Daisy Hotel, built by Mr. Douglas as a dorm for the miners. After years of being abandoned it was purchased and restored as a private residence

This interesting building was originally the Powderbox Church. It was built of wood from dynamite boxes, hence the name. Today it is a private residence
